Elizabeth
Elizabeth is our Lead CVT at Bensenville Animal Hospital. She was raised near Brookfield Zoo and has always had a love for all types of animals. Pets and nature have always been an important part of her life, her mom worked at Busch Gardens in Tampa, and they visited as many aquariums, museums, and natural areas as possible. Her family had many pets when she was growing up including hamsters, gerbils, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, mice, rats, rabbits, cockatiels, and hermit crabs (not at the same time!)
Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree in biology from Benedictine University, then decided to pursue a career in veterinary nursing. After graduating with her CVT from Parkland College in Urbana and her husband graduated from veterinary school at U of I, they moved back to the Chicago Suburbs. They reside in Aurora with their daughter Olivia, hound-mix Wyatt, and three cats Mariah, Rochambeau, and Lafayette. Elizabeth has many interests in veterinary medicine, including toxicology, trauma/critical care, and wildlife medicine. Client education and education within the veterinary community are her other passions. While not taking care of pets and their people, Elizabeth enjoys hiking, traveling, singing and game night with her family, also all things Harry Potter and Hamilton!
